The problem with the sickness analogy is that it’s implied that it’s no one’s fault if someone gets sick. But with poverty…there are poor people because there are rich people. Without wealth, poverty couldn’t exist. Earth provides plenty of resources to sustain us all. It takes the accumulation of wealth to create conditions in which people can be poor.
