Yes, you’re right that the “stormtrooper” framework can and should be applied to men around patriarchy in a parallel way to applying it to White people’s work to end racism. And I agree with you that Hillary Clinton has been the victim of an incredible quantity of awful, sexist attacks. And I hope that my critiques of her in my piece are not in that vein. I am trying to say that I don’t have faith that ANY moderate White presidential candidate could lead White America to confronting the vastness of our complicity in systemic racism. That’s not particular to Hillary.
