REO, it’s unfortunate that many people such as yourself interpret my message as being “liberal White people can never be good teachers for poor students of color.” That’s not what I’m saying, and might be projection. In fact, a big chunk of my piece was articulating the ways in which I was a good teacher for my students!

No, I’m instead saying that the world needs us to go home and teach our own children to refuse to be indoctrinated into the death culture of capitalism. That would have such a bigger impact on creating justice than trying to “save” marginalized students from a system that views them as fuel.
